Firehouse Campground was first established in 2019, but our story goes back much farther. Firehouse Campground is joined by its sister locations in downtown Rapid City – Firehouse Brewing Co., Firehouse Wine Cellars, Wobbly Bobby Pub and Taproom, Que Pasa Mexican Cantina, and Skybox Sports Bar. For more than 30 years, the Firehouse Crew has dedicated ourselves to sharing our love for the beautiful Black Hills with all visitors, and we are passionate about creating spaces that aren’t just another business – they are a home away from home for locals and tourists alike.
Firehouse Campground is located in the Heart of the Black Hills and serves as the perfect jump-off point for all your vacation adventures. The campground shares its western border with the cool and refreshing Spring Creek – great for fishing, swimming, or lounging nearby to catch some sun. Enjoy smores and brats cooked over the fire pits at each campsite – true camping classics! We offer yard games to play on the center lawn or get up-close and personal with the authentic firetrucks around the property. No cooler jungle gym than a real firetruck! When you are ready to explore, you are only a few miles from some of the best views, hikes, and experiences that the Black Hills of South Dakota has to offer.
Firehouse Campground has accommodations to suit every need. Our lodge rooms and cabins are perfect for families without campers or tents – clean, modern amenities, and very comfortable. For those who prefer a more rugged camping experience, we have tent sites available; whether you choose to pitch your tent by the creek or higher up in the tree line, you will be surrounded by the calming sounds of nature. Most of our guests come to us with campers or RVs, and don’t fret, Firehouse Campground has plenty of spots! Each spot is wired with either 30V or 50V outlets; please let us know at the time of booking which spot you need. Whether you’re in South Dakota for the outdoor activities, the rodeos and museums, a foodie tour, or just bringing the kiddos through on a family vacation, Firehouse Campground will be here when you are ready to call it a night.
